Required Qualifications:

Data Engineer

Travel Appeal is looking for a Data Engineer for the Florence office.
Data Engineers are the data professionals who prepare the “big data” infrastructure to be analysed by Data Scientists. They are software engineers who design, build, integrate data from various resources, and manage big data.
The work spans broadly from the most infrastructure- or backend-oriented to the implementation of data-science algorithms.
Responsibilities
-Work closely with our Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Software Engineers and Performance Marketers to identify the data-related tooling and infrastructural needs of the company, and participate in defining the plan to fulfil them
-Help define the software architecture of new data tools or that of new features for existing tools, and then develop them
-Design, implement and enhance ETL (extract, transform and load) processes using both cloud and internal infrastructure
-Active participation on our platform technologies and infrastructure evolution, for greater scalability, data providing
-Analyse and extract relevant information from large amounts data to help in automating the workflows and optimizing key processes
Requirements
-Degree in Computer Science or related field, with a minimum of 2 years of related experience in working on Machine Learning & Statistics projects
-Broad experience across multiple Data Management and Data Governance platforms
